Direnzo DRZ-06 is a nominee for the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG)
Celebrating the DRZ-06: A New Star in the GPHG Constellation
We are thrilled to announce that the DRZ-06 from Direnzo Watches has earned its place among the nominees for the prestigious Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) 2025. It’s an exceptional moment for watch lovers and collectors alike—one that underscores craftsmanship, innovation, and passion in the art of horology.
The red dial has been nominated, as of September 2025 we have some for sale, make sure you don't miss the opportunity to own one.
A Timepiece with Character
Launched in May 2025 as part of the “Wandering Star” collection, the DRZ-06 stands out immediately. Its design is inspired by nostalgic automotive aesthetics—sleek, dynamic, and evocative of movement even when still.
What truly captures the imagination is the “mystery” seconds hand: a red dot that appears to float, enriched by Super-LumiNova to glow subtly in changing light. It’s a creative reimagining of the traditional small seconds display—playful, yet deeply rooted in technical tradition.
Technical Elegance & Vintage Soul
Beneath its striking dial beats a Swiss manual‐winding mechanical movement, ticking at 28,800 vph, with a power reserve of approximately 38 hours. The case, crafted from steel, is sized at 38×46 mm with a thickness of 10.8 mm—balanced proportions that honor both wrist comfort and presence. Water resistance to 100 m gives it everyday versatility.
The finishing details—the radial sunburst dial, a rubber strap coupled with a folding buckle—speak of refinement without excess. All these qualities make the DRZ-06 a stellar example of how vintage inspiration and modern watchmaking harmonize.
Why the GHPG matters?
The GPHG is widely regarded as the Oscars of the watch industry. To be nominated is to be recognized—not only for design and technical merit, but for pushing the boundaries of what a watch can communicate: beauty, storytelling, heritage, and innovation. Having the DRZ-06 in the running affirms that Direnzo’s vision resonates with those values.
This nomination is not just a milestone for the brand—it’s a signal to watch lovers that unique voices and bold ideas still thrive in haute horlogerie. It encourages more creativity, more storytelling, more surprises.
Looking Forward
As the awards draw nearer, we’ll be watching eagerly to see how the DRZ-06 fares among its peers. Whatever the result, its presence in the GPHG lineup is already a win—for Direnzo, for independent watchmaking, and for all who appreciate watches that tell more than time.
We congratulate Direnzo on this achievement, and we celebrate the DRZ-06 for being a watch that makes us look closer—at design, at craft, at what it means to create something both beautiful and meaningful.
