Direnzo DRZ-08 Cosmonaire GMT: First Look at All Six Versions
Something new is coming from Direnzo — and this time, the brand is going GMT. The Direnzo DRZ-08 Cosmonaire brings a second time zone to a compact case shaped by Space Age optimism. Add a meteorite edition and a first collaboration with Isotope, and there is plenty to put on the shortlist.

Direnzo’s first GMT
The Cosmonaire marks a new chapter: it is Direnzo’s first GMT watch. A dedicated hand keeps a second time zone in view, whether that means home while travelling or someone important on the other side of the world.
Its name brings together the cosmos and the traveller. That connection runs through the design: rounded geometry, flowing surfaces and a layered dial that recalls how the 1960s and 1970s imagined tomorrow. For collectors drawn to independent watchmaking, this is a familiar complication with an intriguing new shape.
Space Age curves, compact proportions
The numbers immediately catch the eye: 39 mm diameter without the crown, 46 mm lug-to-lug and 10 mm high, including the sapphire. Those dimensions suggest an appealingly compact mechanical GMT, although the final feel on the wrist is something we look forward to discovering.
The elliptical bezel gives the case its distinctive silhouette. Seen from an angle, the curves and polished surfaces change the watch’s apparent proportions. There is presence here without relying on size alone.

A dial worth a closer look
Under flat anti-reflective sapphire, the subtly bowl-shaped dial uses applied markers and a luminous engraved perimeter to create depth. On the standard designs, a laser-engraved panier pattern sits beneath glossy lacquer, giving light a textured surface to move across.
The handset follows the same flowing design language, with the GMT indication integrated into the display. The appeal is in the details: the closer you look, the more the architecture reveals.

Sellita SW330-2 Elaboré inside
Direnzo specifies the Sellita SW330-2 Elaboré GMT movement, with Incabloc shock protection and a 54-hour power reserve. A sapphire window in the screw-down caseback offers a view inside.
The practical details are equally welcome: a screw-down crown, 10 ATM water resistance, and 316L steel case and bracelet with an HV 800 scratch-resistant coating. The bracelet uses screw-down pins and a butterfly clasp, with a half link included for sizing. A metal bracelet is standard; a leather strap is optional.
Direnzo DRZ-08 Cosmonaire: all six versions compared
Each Cosmonaire shares the compact case and Sellita GMT foundation, but the dial and finish change its character considerably. Here is a closer look at every announced version.
DRZ-08 Cosmonaire Blue: the Space Age all-rounder
The blue-dial Cosmonaire pairs a deep textured centre with a brighter blue perimeter and silver-coloured case and bracelet. The contrast makes the layered construction easy to appreciate, while BGW9 Super-LumiNova adds another dimension after dark. It is our natural starting point for someone drawn to Direnzo’s futuristic side.

DRZ-08 Cosmonaire Brown: warm retro character
The brown-dial version brings a warmer mood to the same architecture. Its darker patterned centre and bronze-brown outer tones recall the palette of 1970s design, with the silver-coloured case keeping the overall look crisp. Like the blue and green versions, it uses BGW9 Super-LumiNova.

DRZ-08 Cosmonaire Green: a richer alternative
The green Cosmonaire combines a dark green centre with a lighter green outer dial, giving the bowl-shaped display a strong sense of depth. Against the silver-coloured bracelet and bezel, the colour feels expressive without losing the design’s balance. BGW9 Super-LumiNova completes this standard variant.

DRZ-08 Cosmonaire Gold PVD: brown dial, golden finish
This version combines the brown dial with a gold PVD case and matching bracelet. The golden surfaces carry the warm palette across the whole watch, giving it the most overtly vintage-inspired appearance among the standard models. BGW9 Super-LumiNova remains part of the specification; the finish is PVD, rather than solid gold.

| Version | Dial and luminous material | Announced edition size |
|---|---|---|
| Blue | Blue; BGW9 Super-LumiNova | Not specified |
| Brown | Brown; BGW9 Super-LumiNova | Not specified |
| Green | Green; BGW9 Super-LumiNova | Not specified |
| Gold PVD | Brown; BGW9 Super-LumiNova | Not specified |
| Meteorite | Heated Muonionalusta; orange Super-LumiNova | 60 pieces |
| Isotope × Direnzo | Grey; white Super-LumiNova; heat-blued steel hands | 40 pieces |
Muonionalusta meteorite: just 60 pieces
A cosmic name and a meteorite dial make a compelling pairing. The heated Muonionalusta meteorite edition combines its striking dial with orange luminous details, giving the Cosmonaire a very different personality.
With only 60 pieces announced, this is a version to study closely ahead of launch. The official photographs show how dramatically its colours and texture depart from the standard lacquered dials.

Isotope × Direnzo: two independent voices
The first Isotope × Direnzo collaboration adds another reason to watch this release. Direnzo says the idea began with a conversation with José from Isotope around three years ago.
The result combines a grey dial, distinctive architecture and thermally blued steel hands. Just 40 pieces are announced. It is an enticing meeting of two brands with strong design identities, and a quieter counterpoint to the meteorite’s colour.

21 November: mark the date
According to Direnzo’s official announcement, the DRZ-08 Cosmonaire launches on Saturday, 21 November 2026 at 15:00 CET. Delivery is expected in mid-January 2027. That is the brand’s current estimate, rather than a guaranteed delivery date.
For now, this is a first look. Finch Watches availability and allocation are still to be confirmed. Which would make your shortlist: blue, brown, green, gold PVD, meteorite or the Isotope collaboration?
